In 2013 Latvian Chemical Society together with other world chemists celebrated Paul Walden 150th Anniversary. Paul Walden medal was presented to 3 distinguished researchers – Professor Gundars Mežinskis (RTU), Dr.biol. Juris Briedis (RTU) and Professor Edgars Sūna (LIOS) by Rector of Riga Technical University Professor Leonīds Ribickis.
On the second day of the Symposium first day cover of postage stamp devoted to Paul Walden 150th Anniversary was realised all the day long. At the same time during the poster session plenary speakers evaluated student’s posters.
